A variation of South Indian chicken curry, the Chicken Korma taste almost similar as the usual chicken curry that you find at Indian restaurants. The main difference is that, there isn't any potato in the curry, only chicken! This recipe isn't spicy, spice taste is also pretty mild. Those who aren't into spicy food but enjoys the taste of curry can try this.
The Chicken Korma was supposed to come with Briyani rice, but Rocky Master ran out of the rice. They replaced it with pita bread, which was a good combination. Ways to eat with pita bread? You could either dip the bread into the gravy or wrap the chicken pieces in the pita bread opening!
If you're a small eater, this dish can be shared by 2 persons. Certainly value for money.

Chicken Katsu Curry @ Haato (Ridgewood Close)
It's really been a while since I went to Haato at Ridgewood Close for lunch. I ordered my usual favourite - Chicken Katsu Curry. It was a pleasant surprise to see a change in the food presentation, which really enhanced the appeal of this dish. The curry is served in a separate small pot. Previously, the curry was served on the rice which sometimes makes the rice soggy. And now, served in a separate pot, I can scoop the amount I like. =) The chicken katsu is still as tasty.
Haato did not serve miso soup previously but now, it comes with the Chicken Katsu Curry. Kudos!

Curry Favour Japanese Reataurant
CURRY FAVOUR
39 Stamford Road
#01-09 Stamford House
Singapore 178885
Tel: 68831087
Can't remember when Curry Favour was setup... As far as I can remember, I have been wanting to try the curry @ Curry Favour for the longest time but no kakis to go with.... what's more when it is Japanese curry.
My group of very wonderful colleagues decided to celebrate my birthday in a small way ie. just the few of us, though there will be another one 2 days later, where it is normally done in a big way, like 20 of us.
When they asked me where I'd like to go, somehow I could only think of Curry Favour... it must have lingered in my mind for too long that the name just got stuck there.
The restaurant is located at Stamford House... the building where the signature MPH store used to be located. The curry restaurant was just a few doors away. It is not a big restaurant. Probably can only house like 50 customers at 1 go. The entire ambience was cosy.
All 5 of us ordered curry and there was nothing else but compliments on how tasty the curries were. Well, I was both heartily satisfied with the food and also that my colleagues like the curries. Phew!
This is the Half-size Chicken Stew Curry. Besides the tender chicken chunks, there were also potatoes and carrot pieces. It came with Japanese rice and a scoop of potatoe salad. With an additional $1.50 top-up, we get a miso soup + a drink (either green tea or soft drinks).

Pasta De Waraku @ The Central
I have heard many rave reviews about Pasta de Waraku since last year. Finally had the chance to taste it .... quite happy that we decided to wait... a long one. Was there at 7.15pm and the restaurant had no more seats. We left our name and contact number and we eventually got a seat about 45 mins later. During the wait, the restaurant served green tea to the waiting guests and gave little toys to kids to entertain them...
The outlet at The Central (level 2). Signature and standard deco at the entrance of Pasta de Waraku cafes. You get to look at the display menu and decide in advance what you wanna treat yourself to...

The macaroni gratin... the top layer slightly burnt cheese is what I like most about this dish...heehee.

Pork cutlet curry rice... the curry sauce is served in a separate "aladdin" metal bowl. You can add the amount of curry to your liking.

The other dessert that we had was this green tea ice cream with rice ball (taste like tang yuan) and red bean paste. If you like milky green tea ice cream, this is one you shd not miss...

Overall, I am very satisfied with all 4 dishes that I tried... will definitely be back again to try other dishes!
