Xin Wang Taiwan Cafe [Closed]

Many people are probably familiar with Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe... has anyone tried Xin Wang Taiwan Cafe located at City Link?  I haven't and am very interested to check it out one of these days.

This cafe serves street food such as salted crispy chicken bites, fish paste sticks, curry chicken chop rice, braised minced pork rice, mee sua etc....sounds yummy, eh?

Here's the menu....

Will be back with review, hopefully soon.

Taiwan snacks @ Punggol Plaza [Ended]

Love those Taiwan Crispy Chicken and was pleasantly surprised to find it outside Punggol Plaza. The stall is only there for 2 weeks... hope they will extend but the owner fedback that business wasn't good. There was no publicity for them.

The deep-fried crispy chicken, similar to those found in Taiwan. After deep-frying, chilli powder and seasoning powder is added. Yummy!

Taiwan Laozhaopai - 台湾老招牌 [Closed]

Taiwan Laozhaopai - 台湾老招牌 is another snack shop at The Central @ Clarke Quay #B1-54/55 (Tel : 65347173). Well, it is self-explanatory that they specialise in Taiwanese tidbits.

Apparently, this is their 2nd shop. The first is at Marina Square.
For the Central Outlet, they have a small cafe as well.
Love their 淡水鱼酥,it looks like those we buy from mama shops since young. But you've got to try this to know the difference. Somehow, those made locally are a little too hard, little too 'floury' and not so fishy.
Once you start, you can't stop. Heehee...
$4.20 for a pack (120g)

永和豆浆油条大王 (Yong He Dou Jiang You Tiao Da Wang)

Once in a while, it's quite nice to sit in this nostalgic soya bean drink place for some you-tiao and shao bing :)  The shop is now located at 517 Geylang Road (Tel: 6745 5682) and the nearest MRT is Aljunied Station.  Walk along Lor 25A until you reach Geylang Road, turn left and keep walking.  Just before Lor 27A, you will see the shop.

The pictures below shows the old premises.
